Wanted: Llanrwst passport officers
Llanrwst is finally independent, centuries after it was first declared by Llywelyn ap Gruffudd (the last prince of Wales) in 1276 – be part of an exciting arts project in the town in August during the National Eisteddfod in Llanrwst.
We’re looking for Welsh speaking people, 18 or older, to be passport officers – you will be in costume, having friendly interactions and issuing new Llanrwst Passports to the public.
Fee: £200 per day (8 hour day including breaks) for between 3 and 7 days depending on your availability. From Saturday 3 August to Saturday 10 (excluding Sunday 4th) plus training and costume fitting on the evening of Tuesday 30 July in Llanrwst.
You must be a Welsh speaker (or a competent learner), be confident in talking to the public in character. You must be willing to work outside and be on your feet for much of the day. We’re looking for enthusiastic people with who can be energetic and positive with the general public.
You will be required to wear your own black trousers, black shoes, white shirt which will be customised with epaulettes, badges, tie, a hat and other accessories.

If you are not available for the full 7 days there may be some flexibility. Please tell us any dates/times you are not available. You must be available for the evening on Tuesday 30th July for full briefing and costume fitting.
